Kerosene Kid

Sometimes remembering things as a kid aren't so easily left behind. It doesn't mean hanging onto it but remembering it enough to not forget others in the same challenges.

Jimmy Wayne hits this dead center with a cut off his "Do You Believe Me Now" cd describing being poor and using kerosene to stay warm at home, the fumes and not being popular at school but understanding "everything that we got is a gift." It makes us stronger "Kerosene kid they didn't get you down you held your head up and stood proud..." These aren't just words as he's lived it. Actually he's lived through more than that.

From that song to another in "I Didn't Come Here to Lose" and looking for a chance when not having a plan B. Many will criticize but "gettin up swinging is that all you got bring it..." is the only way to persist. Giving up isn't something most want to do but persisting can be difficult. Looking at many be it sports people, ordianry people or entertainers have to persist to get anywhere. No one ever succeeds by putting things in reverse or quitting.

Continuing on is a true story in "Where You're Going" of not letting 'where you've been' inflluence where you end up. "We all have a story we can tell..."

Serious topics, upbeat music...check out "Do You Believe Me Now"! If you've lived at all there's material to relate to.
